While trees are growing, Rayonier timberlands can be used for a number of other income-generating activities. We license the hunting rights to local hunt clubs on many of our lands. Others who purchase rights for land use include beekeepers, cell phone tower owners, and landscapers who harvest pine straw for mulch. Individual permits are frequently issued to individuals who collect firewood, gather ornamental greens or recover cedar wood. Rayonier also grants easements for hiking and other forms of recreation.
