U.S. South

In the U.S. South, Rayonier grows loblolly, slash and longleaf pine forests used primarily for pulpwood and sawtimber. Rayonier's timberlands are concentrated in strong markets that are proximal to key mills and ports. Approximately two thirds of our Southern timberlands are located in the region’s top three timber markets. Lumber production and capacity is expected to grow significantly over the next few years in the U.S. South. There is also rising demand for exports to China and India from this region.
